Android PR
In an attempt to seek out startups that are integrating GOOGLE’s Android Mobile OS, we’ve turned to Innotribe’s list of submissions.
Innotribe:
Now in its third year, Innotribe at Sibos, Innotribe’s flagship event, runs throughout Sibos week and offers a comprehensive programme exploring a range of topics crucial to the financial industry. Innotribe at Sibos in Toronto will once again bring together a powerful combination of world experts to participate in an exciting mix of keynote sessions, case studies, and interactive discussions.
Sibos:
Every year Sibos brings together influential leaders from financial institutions, market infrastructures, multinational corporations and technology partners to do business and shape the future of the financial industry. Facilitated and organised by SWIFT for the SWIFT community, Sibos is much more than a conference and exhibition. It is a unique forum to collaborate and take collective action in payments, securities, cash management and trade. With the power to draw over 8,000 participants from across the globe, Sibos is unparalleled in its reputation to reach the entire financial services industry.
We’re excited to see a handful of startups implementing the use of mobile payments. We’d be more enthusiastic to see if they’ve integrated Android.
Twitter co-founder, Jack Dorsey (@jack) announced his new startup project, Square just last year. We’ve yet to see them include Android in their mobile mix. Naturally, we’re disappointed to see that most startups choose to build, deploy and launch on the Apple iOS first. We’re not saying NOT to include Apple’s iOS. We’re merely saying, “Why not include Android in your initial launch as well?”.
We hope to be attending the Sibos event in Toronto, for a chance to see what types of developments on Android’s mobile platform, are being utilized in the financial technology sector.
I’m sure we’ll have better findings at MWC 2012 in Barcelona, next year.
